God Is A Verb!
Hello, and thank you for joining my spiritual journey. As spirit-filled beings I believe we are all on a spiritual journey, and that spiritual journey is vibrant, active, and fruitful. There is action everywhere, from the ever expanding universe to the motion of a fern waving its leaves to the trees and bugs around it. And what a gift that we are able to enjoy the wisdom and grace of our dynamic, interconnected realm.
"We are not human beings having a spiritual experience; we are spiritual beings having a human experience." –Pierre Teilhard de Chardin.
Earlier in the 21st century the musician John Meyer released a song called “Love Is A Verb.” That idea that love is an action rather than a thing sort of had a moment (or a reawakening) in social and mainstream media. Here are the lyrics:
Love is a verbIt ain't a thingIt's not something you ownIt's not something you scream
When you show me loveI don't need your wordsYeah love ain't a thingLove is a verbLove ain't a thingLove is a verb
Love ain't a crutchIt ain't an excuseNo you can't get through loveOn just a pile of I-O-Us
Love ain't a drugDespite what you've heardYeah love ain't a thingLove is a verbLove ain't a thingLove is a verb
So you gotta show, show, show meShow, show, show meShow, show, show meThat love is a verb
You gotta show, show, show meShow, show, show meShow, show, show meThat love is a verb
Love ain't a thingLove is a verb

In the Bible, the apostle John tells us (1 John 4:16): “God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.
If Love is a verb, and God is Love, then God is a verb!
God is a verb.
Contemplate that for a while.
